SENIORS PILATES 60+

Pilates is a form of conditioning that is perfect for the senior body. It supports and enhances overall fitness, as well as daily activities. Classical Pilates focuses on improving core strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance in the body along with strength and flexibility in the back and spine. As we age, it is common to see rounded shoulders, lack of core strength, back pain, tightness of neck, hamstrings, hips and other joints. The beauty of Pilates is that it works for anyone, regardless of age or fitness level. Our classes are designed to fit a wide range of physical needs and are offered in a series format to provide maximum value and impact.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

FOUNDATIONAL MAT CLASS

A great class to introduce you to Pilates or get you back into the method.  Although no prior experience is required, you will immediately begin to target your core, strength and flexibility. Have fun while working hard with three different days to choose from to fit your scheduling needs.

CORE MAT CLASS

An core level mat class that builds on strength and flexibility with in-depth Classical mat work incorporating weights, stability balls and a variety of tools. Keep yourself challenge with two different days to choose from to fit your scheduling needs.  (prior Pilates work or instructor approval required).

MIXED LEVEL EQUIPMENT CLASS  

Benefit from the genius of Joseph Pilates in this equipment-based series that utilizes the Reformer, Tower Wall units, and Wunda Chairs for resistance-based workouts that vary from session to session (some prior Pilates experience is recommended, but not required).

MEN’S MIXED EQUIPMENT CLASS 

Stretch, build core strength, and challenge the body in this equipment-based class that combines the best of Mat, Reformer, Tower Wall units, and Wunda Chair. Enjoy new challenges! (No prior experience is required).
